Is Vincent D'Onofrio a Bad Boy?

A-Z Blogging Challenge
"B" is for Bad Boy

Some seem to think so and at times so do I.   Vincent has this careless way of throwing out the F-bomb that just makes my heart skip a beat.  He swaggers into a room and internal alarms sound.   I take one glance at his expression and posture (one hand in his pocket, loose hips and feet set apart) and deduce that he is a wild child at heart.  And oh yeah, I want a bite of that.  Not that I really need to explain myself--you’ve probably been brought to your knees on at least one occasion by a rebellious dude who’s so damn sexy.

Research from the University of British Columbia confirms our obsession.  They studied 1,000 participants and woman rated the “bad-boy” look to be the most captivating in comparison to guys who where “happy to please”.    We're more drawn to a man who promises to rip our clothes off with his teeth as opposed to promising us breakfast with roses in bed

In Vincent’s movies he’s played a couple bad boys and for me, they are some of his more memorable characters.  For example there’s Moriarty from Sherlock:Case of Evil, Officer Steckler from Strange Days, Ashton from The Thirteenth Floor and Cholo from The Naked Tango.

Not to mention Bobby Goren when he gets enraged and indignant , nothing sends the fireworks flying more.  I love me some “Angry Bobby”.  Bobby Goren is a rule breaker and a risk taker.  I love it that he’s not afraid to go against the grain.

But in all honesty, I don't think Vincent's a bad guy at all. He's done a lot of good. He supports the Utah Meth Cops Project, is spokesman for The National Law Enforcement Museum , and teaches aspiring film makers at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute  to be the best that they can be. But he can sure play one hell of a bad guy.

Look for "Chained", from director Jennifer Lynch coming soon. Vincent plays another bad boy in this movie. One of his most "darkest" roles, he says.

  10. Always the strong characters are what cause more attraction, of course angry Goren want to eat this whole bad man's characters assumed by Vincent does not mean he was wrong, contrary to both the telepectador convinced by the excellent actor.Todo otherwise it is a very good person and he seems very calm.

  13. I don't think Vincent's a bad boy at all. Maybe when he was young but not now, he's always been so focused on his craft.

  14. I certainly have a thing for bad boys and married a reformed one, but when I think of Vincent I can only think of the "Edgar suit." I would love to get a new impression of him.

I kinda had a crush on Vincent before he had his teeth fixed. Crooked was a better look for him!
