"G" is for GGG
Now I haven't had the pleasure of meeting George personally, but from what I've seen in video the woman go crazy for the man.Women confess that they want to run away with him despite the fact that he's had numerous wives and oodles of children. There's even a Facebook Group dedicated in his name. But that comes as no surprise to me because in fact George Geronimo Gerkie is Vincent D'Onofrio. He is his alter ego, Country Western singing, Hero. Vincent came up with the character and has on occasion sung with his friend, Sam Bisbee's, band. Together they perform such songs as "I'm In Love With A Man", and "18 Wheels of Christmas" in an effort to raise money for the Utah Meth Cops Project, to a sold out show every time.
If I were to describe George, I'd probably call him a little crazy, eccentric, and a whole lot of fun. But to quote George because I think he best describes himself, "I'm just an entertainer and life is just a show. G for George, G for Gerkie. Why ask why, when you can just say gee."
Perfect entry for G!!!!!

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. I admit, I had to look up Vincent on Imdb. I'd never heard of his alter ego either, but that's pretty entertaining. How did you get so interested in this actor, was it a particular role?
ReplyDeleteHi Steph,
ReplyDeleteI was introduced to Vincent via his television show Law and Order: Criminal Intent. We,( my husband and I) were hooked on the show since it's premiere. It wasn't until a couple of years ago though that I truly became a fan of work though. One day, while watching the show, a light bulb just went off, and I was like "wow, this guy's an amazing actor". I looked him up that evening on the computer and the rest is history. I've seen all his movies and have even met him.
